Hi! Welcome to our little corner of the Society for Creative Anachronism, the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat and culture. www.sca.org
We are The Middle Kingdom and include Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and parts of Kentucky, Iowa, and Ontario! www.midrealm.org
Our particular area is called the Marche of Alderford http://marcheofalderford.weebly.com/ in the Barony of Brendoken https://brendoken.midrealm.org/
This is one of our larger events and there will be LOTS to see and do. We even have spare outfits if you don't have your own! Just let us know when you check-in at The Gate (admission booth) and someone will show you where the borrowable clothes are. We have a range of sizes and styles.
There will be a specific tent called Publick House which is a hang out spot where there will be people to talk to and ask questions, shade and seats. Feel free to bring a chair (folding camp chairs are absolutely fine) or there will be a few seats available.
If you have ANY questions please contact any staff member (listed at the bottom of the Home page). Autocrat and Co-Autocrat are the people running the event, other staff run a specific section.
